Mentoring
With over 13 years-experience of delivering mentoring services, the Our Place Mentoring Scheme provides a high-quality specialised mentoring service that supports children and young people across Birmingham.
95% of children who have accessed the Our Place Mentoring Scheme have said they have felt better since having an Our Place Mentor.
The Our Place Mentoring Scheme has a team of skilled mentors that support children and young people 6 years – 18 years old with their social, emotional and mental health wellbeing. We currently deliver three 1-2-1 mentoring services across Birmingham for children and young people and deliver a variety of issue-based group mentoring and workshops for schools.
By providing a safe and empowering environment, our mentors work closely with children and young people to explore tools and strategies to help overcome barriers they may be experiencing and to help them make positive changes in their lives.
As a service, the children and young people accessing the mentoring scheme are at the heart of all the work that we do and we understand that every child and young person and their experiences are unique, therefore all sessions are bespoke and tailored to meet the mentee’s individual needs, experiences, and goals.
